My first real entry now...
Well it all started 5 years ago when I was taking care of Coyote Canine Condo for our friends while away hunting. They had 3 Brittany Spaniels and various other borders there. Now these Brittany Spaniels are something else. They think they're human, they think they only weigh 10lbs and they think they should be in your lap. And how can you not get attached to that!
Abbey, Janie, and Tess instantly warmed my heart and a Brittany it had to be. Now the wait for a puppy came. On May 26, 2005 Abbey blessed Wenters Brittany's with a lovely litter of pups. And of course I was right in there like a dirty shirt. There was this huge heavily orange marked pup that tugged at my heart...of course she had to be mine. What a chooser I am...because this pup was a MENACE!! She destroyed my home, was a flurry of energy, and I quickly became sleep deprived. But those big amber brown eyes...they tugged at my heart everytime. I was a sucker. With a captial S.
This big ball of Orange and White fur became the center of attention and we soon learned the true meaning of "Birdiness". This little girl loved to hunt birds and point...she was amazing. So amazing that I decided to enter the world of having my own litter of puppies. So Sage was bred to Leroy (Bad Bad Leroy Brown II). What an amazing dog he is. Good bloodlines, great dispostion, and he is "hot"...or so Sage secretly told me...I didn't get into it any further with her. Her relationships are her own business.
